Job Full Description

Express Employment Professionals, Laguna Hills is recruiting Purchasing Support for a vehicle rental service company located in Newport Beach.

Service Line: Temporary position

Pay: $20-$25/Hr. DOE

Schedule: M-F 8:00AM-5:00PM

 

Responsibility:

Purchasing & Vendor Support

  • Place orders for approved goods and services through established vendors and purchasing tools.
  • Process and track purchase orders, invoices, and receipts in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with approved vendor lists, pricing agreements, and purchasing policies.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal purchasing requests, guiding approved ordering processes.

Inventory & Asset Management

  • Monitor inventory levels using company tools and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accuracy of inventory records and support periodic audits.
  • Organize and oversee storage areas, ensuring accessibility and proper stock rotation.

Administrative & Financial Support

  • Manage the reconciliation of purchases and corporate purchasing card statements.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing documentation, reports, and spreadsheets.
  • Provide data entry and reporting support for purchasing activities as directed.

Operational Support

  • Support purchasing needs for new office openings, field supplies, marketing materials, and other company functions.
  • Lead shipping, receiving, and distribution of purchased items.
  • Handle Corporate mail and shipping/receiving needs.
  • Provide administrative support for special projects requiring purchasing coordination.

Required approach in carrying out responsibilities:

  • Apply strict confidentiality to all work assignments (i.e., information or details exposed to in the Corporate Office)
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with solid attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance in all duties; ensure adherence to procedural standards provided
  • Present a professional, welcoming contact to all field team members, clients, vendors, etc. by phone, in person, and email
  • Treat each contact with peers, team members, managers, executives, and guests with respect and a helpful attitude
  • Ensure follow-up and follow-through with all directives given
  • Maintain all records, reports, spreadsheets, etc., used in conjunction with responsibilities
  • Provide 5 Star service to field and corporate teams with every interaction

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 2 years’ minimum general office/administrative experience
  • Able to multitask with an advanced ability to prioritize business needs
  • Detail-oriented; able to ensure accuracy in duties and while carrying out responsibilities
  • Flexibility to adjust to a dynamic, changing/growing work environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Highly experienced with organizational administrative systems
  • Neat, organized, able to work independently and interdependently
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings
  • Computer literate with advanced expertise in spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail, internet, etc.
