Printing Stitcher Operator – $20-$26/hour
Locations: Los Alamitos, CA
Hours: 1st shift
Summary
We are seeking a skilled Stitcher Operator to set up and operate stitcher binder machinery for the production of magazines, catalogs, and pamphlets. This role ensures jobs are completed to customer specifications, maintains quality standards, and coordinates bindery team operations to meet deadlines efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
· Set up and operate stitcher binder machinery including gathering, stitching, trimming, and labeling.
· Perform make-readies and fine-tune machine settings for optimal performance and minimal downtime.
· Monitor machine output for quality and productivity; conduct trial runs and obtain supervisor approval.
· Adjust and repair machinery components including scanners, stitch heads, trimmer knives, and inkjet systems.
· Coordinate bindery team efforts to meet production schedules and assist crew members as needed.
· Maintain equipment through routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventative maintenance.
· Ensure safety mechanisms are functional; follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and enforce safety policies.
· Complete required documentation such as counter readings, load tags, and return-to-stock forms.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment and comply with company policies and SOPs.
· Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
· Minimum 1 year of experience operating stitcher machinery in a printing or bindery environment.
· Ability to read and follow written instructions and perform basic arithmetic.
· Experience operating Saber or Wallenberg cutter machines.
