Bindery Operator – $20-$26 /hour
Locations: Los Alamitos, CA
Hours: 2nd or 3rd shift (2 pm to 10:30 pm - OR - 10 pm to 6:30 am + OT)
Summary
We are seeking a skilled Bindery Machine Operator to set up and operate stitcher binder equipment used in the production of magazines, catalogs, and pamphlets. This role ensures efficient machine performance, quality control, and coordination of bindery team members to meet production deadlines and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Review job orders to determine binding requirements and communicate details to bindery team.
· Perform machine setup and fine-tuning to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation.
· Monitor and adjust machinery during production to maintain quality and productivity.
· Conduct trial runs and obtain supervisor approval before full production.
· Perform routine adjustments and minor repairs, including scanner calibration and stitch settings.
· Operate hand and electric pallet jacks to move materials and ensure proper staging.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols
Qualifications:
· Minimum 1 year of experience operating stitcher machinery in a printing or bindery operator required.
· Ability to read and follow written instructions and perform basic math functions.
· Ability to work weekends and holidays
