Service Writer – $22-$28/hour (DOE)
Summary
We are urgently in need of a Service Writer for a power service company located in Long Beach, CA. This role is a key part in daily operations, supporting the Service Department, Rental Department, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
· Research current and obsolete diesel engine parts using online resources and vendor systems
· Read catalogs or digital systems to determine correct part numbers and pricing
· Provide accurate, timely quotes for parts
· Communicate effectively with management, technicians, and internal departments
· Research, source, and order parts promptly
· Issue spare and replacement parts, equipment, and consumables used in maintenance
· Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular inventory counts
· Pick up incoming stock or deliver parts to other buildings or locations as needed
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3 years of experience in diesel parts applications
· Ability to research diesel engine parts (current and obsolete)
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook)
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Valid driver’s license (for occasional parts pickup/delivery)
