Quality Engineer - Aerospace
The Quality Engineer drives product and process excellence across all machining operations, ensuring aerospace components meet stringent customer, regulatory, and industry standards. This role leads root-cause analysis, develops inspection plans, supports AS9100 compliance, and partners closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to maintain world-class performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5+ years of experience in aerospace machining, precision manufacturing, or quality engineering.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and aerospace blueprint interpretation.
- Experience with AS9100, AS9102, and aerospace customer quality requirements.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection methodologies.
- Familiarity with CMM operation or programming (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar) is highly valued.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in SPC, capability studies, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and customer interaction.
- Proficiency with MS Office, ERP/MRP systems, and digital quality tools.
