Sheet Metal Punch Press Operator

Location: Los Alamitos, CA
Pay Rate: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour (DOE)
Job Type: Full-Time

Our client in Los Alamitos, CA is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Punch Press Operator to join their manufacturing team. This position is ideal for a skilled sheet metal professional with hands-on punch press experience, particularly with Trumpf TruPunch equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining punch press machinery while supporting various sheet metal fabrication processes in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Trumpf TruPunch machines
• Set up and maintain punch tooling to ensure quality and efficiency
• Perform sheet metal punching operations according to specifications
• Assist with other fabrication processes, including:
  • Laser cutting
  • Press brake forming
  • Shear cutting
  • Pulling stock orders and material handling
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow company and safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Previous punch press operation experience required
• Strong preference for experience with Trumpf TruPunch equipment
• Experience handling sheet metal materials in a manufacturing environment
• Forklift operation experience
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
