Job Full Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced HR Manager to support and lead human resources operations for a growing construction company. This role is ideal for someone who understands the fast-paced demands of construction environments and brings a strong background in payroll, accounting, and HR compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage all HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance.

Process weekly payroll for field and office staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal/state laws.

Handle certified payroll and prevailing wage documentation for public works projects.

Maintain accurate employee records, timesheets, and job costing data.

Oversee benefits administration and worker’s comp claims.

Support accounting team with reconciliations, vendor management, and labor cost tracking.

Ensure compliance with employment laws, safety regulations (OSHA), and company policies.

Serve as point of contact for HR inquiries from employees and leadership.

Lead performance review cycles and disciplinary processes when needed.
Qualifications:

3+ years of HR experience, preferably in construction or trades-related industry.

Proven experience managing payroll and supporting accounting tasks.

Familiarity with certified payroll, Davis-Bacon, and prevailing wage requirements.

Strong understanding of HR compliance, onboarding, and employment law.

Proficient in QuickBooks, payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex), and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
