Job Full Description

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Maintenance Technician to perform general repair and preventative maintenance tasks across multiple commercial properties. This role focuses on keeping office buildings, retail spaces, and other commercial facilities in safe, working order while maintaining a professional environment for tenants and clients.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day general maintenance on commercial property systems and infrastructure including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and structural repairs.

  • Respond promptly to service requests and work orders involving minor repairs, system adjustments, or general facility upkeep.

  • Perform light carpentry, drywall patching, painting, flooring repairs, and ceiling tile replacements.

  • Inspect and troubleshoot building systems including restrooms, lighting, fire alarms, doors, and HVAC filters.

  • Conduct routine building walkthroughs to identify safety hazards, wear and tear, or maintenance needs.

  • Work with building managers and external vendors on larger projects and contracted services.

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in mechanical rooms, maintenance areas, and exterior walkways.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, building codes, and property safety protocols.

  • Monitor and document maintenance records and supply inventory.

  • Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with tenants, staff, and vendors.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial property maintenance, facilities operations, or general handyman work.

  • Proficient in general plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, and painting.

  • Familiar with commercial building systems (e.g., HVAC, fire systems, access controls).

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working on your feet for extended periods.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

  • Must reside within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HVAC knowledge or EPA Certification is highly desirable.

  • Experience working in Class A office buildings or multi-tenant retail facilities.

  • Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
