Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our boutique personal injury law firm. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience managing both pre-litigation and post-litigation matters, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of personal injury litigation from intake through trial and resolution.
Primary Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Pre-Litigation Responsibilities

Manage personal injury cases from intake through settlement or filing of suit

Draft and organize demand packages, including medical summaries and damages calculations

Request, review, and summarize medical records, bills, police reports, and other case documentation

Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers

Track statutes of limitations and critical deadlines

Maintain accurate and well-organized case files
Post-Litigation Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, from filing through trial and resolution

Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence

Manage discovery, including document production, indexing, and review
-
Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and expert witnesses

Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness files
-
Track court deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures

Assist with settlement, judgment, and closing documentation
Education
Skills & Experience

Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, specifically in personal injury law

Demonstrated experience handling both pre-litigation and post-litigation matters
-
Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules
-
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong client service orientation with professionalism and empathy

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software

Experience in a boutique or plaintiff-side personal injury firm preferred
