Job Full Description
We are currently recruiting a Shipping and Receiving/Warehouse Specialist to assist with loading, unloading, and packaging for an manufacturing company in Glendale. Duties will include: Open, examine, and verify contents received with purchase orders & packing slips; Pack, verify accuracy, seal, label, and affix postage on all packages being shipped; Package and ship products according to proper handling techniques requirements; Work overflow support and additional tasks as needed by management.
Qualifications for the Shipping & Receiving/Warehouse Specialist:
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities; must be able to manage multiple tasks, and responsibilities at once
- Professional – Punctual, reliable, honest, trustworthy and ready to work every day
- Able to utilize computer programs to track multiple shipments such as Federal Express, UPS, and Airborne International
- Ability to operate hand truck and pallet jack
Minimum Qualification Shipping & Receiving/Warehouse Specialist:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year warehouse shipping clerk experience
Physical Requirements Shipping & Receiving/Warehouse Specialist:
- Moderate physical activity
- Requires handling of average weight objects and packages up to 50 pounds
- May occasionally be required to climb, bend, stoop or kneel
- Standing and/or walking for approximately than 6-8 hours per day
