Position Summary

The HR Coordinator supports and facilitates human resource operations across multiple business locations. This role provides hands-on administrative and operational support to the HR function, including employee relations, payroll and benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and HRIS data management.

This position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels and comfort working in both office and manufacturing environments, including walking the shop floor. The HR Coordinator plays a key role in supporting a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Operations
Maintain accurate employee records within HR and payroll systems
Support payroll processing as needed and assist with audits related to payroll, benefits, and HR programs
Administer health and welfare benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and deduction audits
Manage employee attendance point tracking and escalate issues when necessary
Ensure confidentiality, data integrity, and compliance with data protection regulations

Employee Relations and Compliance
Serve as a point of contact for employee HR-related questions and concerns
Assist in resolving employee issues in a professional and timely manner
Communicate HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations clearly and consistently
Monitor and process unemployment and leave of absence claims

Recruitment and Onboarding


Manage full-cycle recruiting activities including job postings, resume reviews, initial interviews, and coordination with hiring managers
Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including paperwork, benefits enrollment, and orientation
Ensure compliance with E-Verify requirements

Separations and Performance Support
Coordinate employee exits including terminations, exit interviews, and recovery of company property
Ensure all separation processes comply with company policies and legal requirements
Assist with performance management processes as assigned

Administrative Support
Perform clerical and administrative duties including scanning, filing, mailing, and document management
Support HR projects and other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Skills and Competencies

Communication
Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred

Technical Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience using HRIS and payroll systems
Comfort using standard office equipment

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required
Minimum of two years of HR-related experience required
Bilingual Spanish highly preferred
Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record required

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, and walk frequently
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
Comfort working in an office environment and on the shop floor
Occasional travel between company locations

Work Environment and Schedule

Indoor office environment with regular interaction with employees in production areas
Moderate noise level

Schedule is 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with flexibility as needed
During training, the role will work one day per week in Stockton
Once fully trained, the schedule will shift to two days per week in Stockton and three days per week in Escalon

Employment Details

Pay rate is $27–$29 per hour
Six-month temporary assignment with intent to convert to a permanent role
