Job is in Jamestown;
Packaging Machine Operator / Forklift Operator (Sit-Down)
Production Responsibilities
- Operate baler safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to maintain smooth operations
- Follow production schedules, including proper bagging and stacking patterns
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Restock bag trays and production materials as needed
Safety
- Participate in monthly safety meetings
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Complete all required safety training and testing
Quality
- Adhere to all quality assurance standards and procedures
- Identify and communicate quality issues to supervisors and team members
- Assist in improving and implementing quality control processes
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift 25–50 pounds
- Ability to bend, squat, and stand for extended periods
- Respond quickly to sounds and potential hazards
- Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure a safe work environment
Shifts Available
2nd Shift (2 positions)
- Sunday–Thursday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- Alternating Fridays: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM (mandatory overtime)
3rd Shift (1 position)
- Sunday–Thursday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Alternating Saturdays: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (mandatory overtime)
Pay Rate: $20/hour (starting)
Additional Duties
- Perform other assigned tasks, including:
- Quality checks
- Cleaning and housekeeping
- Restocking supplies
- Assisting team members as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift preferred
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds consistently
- Physically capable of standing, bending, and working extended shifts
- Ability to work in varying conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
