Material Handler
Monday - Friday
Must be open to 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift
$19.41 per hour
A leading international manufacturer of high-quality plastic films is currently seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing packaging materials, labeling products, managing inventory, and ensuring a seamless production process. Forklift certification is required, and is a great opportunity for someone with experience looking to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Material Handler Responsibilities:
- Prepare packaging materials as outlined in the windup instructions.
- Ensure all outside product labels are in place before packaging.
- Review windup for lot numbers and formulas of the compounds to be used for the extruder and load the materials into bins accordingly.
- Complete Work-in-Progress (WIP) usage forms and submit them at the end of each shift.
- Segregate and package millstock, ensuring pallets are correctly labeled with formula and lot number.
- Prepare packaging for planetary and organize storage of finished products.
- Discard scrap materials into gaylords and ensure proper weighing.
- Weigh flake materials and submit the flake production form.
Material Handler Requirements:
- Forklift Certification is required.
- Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Previous experience in machining or forklift operation is highly preferred.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and wear necessary safety gear, including steel-toe boots.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
