Logistics Coordinator -1st shift
6:00am - 3:00pm / Monday - Friday
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour / DOE

A leading creative packaging and display company in Pico Rivera, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across our supply chain. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will act as a critical liaison between our customer service team, freight carriers, and the BCL Team. You will be responsible for securing freight, sharing timely updates, and tracking shipments to keep everything running like clockwork. Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities
- Provide daily updates for items running at Coastal/Packout facilities, including follow-ups on stock and pallet needs.
- Schedule common carriers and coordinate “will calls” with the BCL Team or carriers.
- Manage outbound "farm out" items by creating detailed checklists.
- Share, update, and track critical shipping documentation.
- Obtain freight quotes and rates through the BCL Team as needed.
- Monitor inventory and schedule changes to optimize pick-up, delivery, warehousing, and staging.
- Book freight purchase orders and coordinate delivery appointments.
- Maintain and adjust internal shipping schedules in coordination with production and customer service teams.
- Operate and monitor OpenDock software.
- Perform additional logistics-related duties as assigned.
Logistics Coordinator Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework in logistics or supervision preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in shipping, warehousing, or inventory control.
- Strong computer skills; familiarity with logistics systems a plus.
- Experience in the corrugated packaging industry a big plus.
- Knowledge of shipping/supply routes and geography in the Greater Los Angeles area.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to schedule changes and prioritize tasks.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts when needed.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Forklift certification required.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus.
