Customer Service Representative
$20.00 per hour
8:00 am –4:30 pm / Monday-Friday
A metal component manufacturing company is seeking a reliable and detail-focused professional to support customer service and order management. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate order processing, clear communication with customers, and coordination between production, purchasing, and internal teams. Customer Service Representative Responsibilities
- Manage customer purchase orders and releases with a high level of accuracy
- Confirm correct part number revisions on all customer orders and within internal systems
- Track and maintain open order reports and communicate status updates with production and purchasing
- Act as a liaison between production, purchasing, and customer service teams
- Enter ASNs on customer portals and communicate shipment details to customers
- Provide backup support for customer service order entry during employee absences
- Assist the quoting department by entering RFQs and sending quotes to customers
- Follow up with customers regarding quotations, samples, literature, new accounts, and related requests
- Provide backup coverage for receptionist duties, including answering incoming calls
- Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor or Management
Customer Service Representative Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience
- Experience with order entry, data entry, and working with customer information
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
- Punctual, dependable, and able to maintain a professional work environment
