Construction Estimator
M-F 7:30am-4pm
$28.00 -$38.00 per hour
We are seeking a Construction Estimator to support project bidding and cost forecasting for construction projects. This hands-on role is responsible for reviewing plans, performing quantity take-offs, developing material and labor estimates, assisting with bid preparation, and supporting post-award handoffs to project management. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Construction Estimator Responsibilities:
- Review construction plans, specifications, and project documents
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs and material selections
- Develop cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment
- Research vendor pricing and special project conditions
- Prepare and submit bids on time
- Communicate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams
- Assist with post-award handoff to project management
Construction Estimator Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 1–5 years of related construction experience in sheet metal, waterproofing, roofing, or related construction fields (or equivalent combination).
- Ability to read blueprints, Specifications, CAD Drawings and work orders.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills (i.e. important deadlines)
- Proficient with email and basic computer tools
- Capable of light lifting (up to 15 lbs) and occasional office mobility
