Roll Tender/ Sit-Down Forklift
M-F 7am-3:30pm
$17.00 per hour
A company in the city of Montebello is seeking an experienced Roll Tender to join the production team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a clamp forklift and sit down forklift in a manufacturing or production environment. This role is responsible for staging and loading raw materials to the production and sheeting departments while following production schedules and safety procedures.
Roll Tender/ Responsibilities:
- Stage and load raw materials to production and sheeting departments following production pick tickets
- Operate paper roll clamp forklifts (big and small)
- Operate sit down forklift safely and efficiently
- Bring required raw materials to the production converter line and sheeting department
- Verify staging order of rolls with machine operators
- Use scanners to move product from bins to designated areas
- Follow instructions and production schedules accurately
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform additional duties assigned by supervisor
Roll Tender/Requirements:
- Experience operating clamp forklifts required
- Experience operating sit-down forklift required
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- Must wear steel toe work boots
- Experience using RF scanners preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong attention to detail and safety procedures
