2nd Shift Die Cutter Operator
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday / 1:00 PM-9:30 PM
Must be available for overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
A printing company in Vernon is seeking an experienced Die Cutter Operator to operate a guillotine cutter and ensure materials are accurately cut according to job specifications. The ideal candidate has mechanical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and adjust guillotine cutting machines
- Load, align, and prepare materials for cutting
- Set machine speeds, blade positions, and pressure as needed
- Measure and cut materials accurately according to job specifications
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Sort nonconforming products
- Perform basic cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance
- Report equipment malfunctions to maintenance
- Assist with organizing and storing materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety, hygiene, and production procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Previous cutter/guillotine operator experience preferred
- Mechanical skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to use a ruler and accurately measure materials
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow written instructions and job specifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to understand and communicate directions in English
- Must wear safety glasses and steel-toe shoes
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed
