About the Client:
-Long-haul trucking company with over 50 years of experience serving customers across the western United States with a company fleet, owner operators, and outside carriers. Looking looking for a Settlements Administrator to join their growing accounting and operations support team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely payments to outside carriers and owner operators.
About the Position:
-We are seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to lead our Redding-based maintenance team. The Shop Foreman will oversee daily shop operations, coordinate all in-house and on-the-road repairs, and ensure preventative maintenance and warranty work are completed accurately and on schedule. This position plays a key leadership role in maintaining our fleet’s performance and safety standards.
Job Description/ Responsibilities:
• Oversee and prioritize all repair and maintenance activities for company equipment, including semi-trucks and trailers.
• Supervise a team of 5 technicians and 1 shop clerk, providing direction, scheduling, and ongoing support.
• Coordinate breakdown repairs and roadside assistance to minimize downtime and cost.
• Manage preventative maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with the Director of Maintenance to track shop productivity, repair costs, and warranty recovery.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatch, and operations to plan and schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to operations.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
• Ensure shop safety standards and cleanliness are upheld at all times.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in heavy-duty truck and trailer maintenance; previous supervisory or foreman experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft products, email management, and recordkeeping.
• CDL preferred but not required.
Shift:
-Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
