About the Client:
Express is working with a local, well established heavy equipment repair shop in Shasta County.
About the Position:
We are seeking a journeyman heavy equipment mechanic/lead to diagnose and repair equipment.
Job Description/ Responsibilities:
Diagnose and Repair: Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy construction equipment and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled maintenance and routine inspections to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Troubleshooting: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to resolve complex system problems efficiently.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used to ensure compliance and traceability.
Safety Compliance: Verify that all equipment meets safety and operational standards before returning to service.
Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and team members regarding repair needs, timelines, and equipment status.
Qualifications:
3-5+ years experience as a heavy construction equipment mechanic
Understand schematics and manuals
Valid drivers' license with Class A preferred but not mandatory
Journey level diagnostic skills
Shift:
Monday-Friday
Compensation:
$35.00+ depending on experience
