Job Summary:
We are seeking a responsible and customer-focused Recreation Attendant to support operations at our community pool. This position is primarily responsible for checking residents in using key fobs, monitoring pool access, and ensuring all guests follow pool rules and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be dependable, professional, and proactive in promoting a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patrons entering the pool area in a courteous and professional manner.
- Verify access by scanning key fobs or checking membership credentials.
- Monitor pool activity to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with facility rules.
- Politely enforce pool rules and address inappropriate behavior or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and report unauthorized access or incidents.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed.
- Report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service and answer general inquiries.
- Perform occasional light cleaning or resetting of poolside furniture/equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, recreation, or facility monitoring a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-traffic or stressful situations.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to work outdoors and stand for extended periods.
Schedule:
- Morning Shift: 11:30am - 4:00pm, Evening Shift 4:00pm - 8:30pm
- May include weekends, holidays and evening shifts
