Job Title: Shop Technician
Location: Corona,CA
Reports To: Shop Supervisor / Operations Manager
Position Summary
The Shop Technician is responsible for performing hands-on production and refurbishment work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports the assembly, repair, cleaning, and rebuilding of components and equipment, ensuring quality standards and production timelines are met.
This is a highly hands-on position requiring mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with tools and materials in a shop setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assembly and disassembly of mechanical and electronic components
- Execute refurbishment and rebuilding of parts and equipment
- Operate shop tools for cutting, drilling, sanding, and finishing materials
- Clean, prep, and maintain parts to ensure readiness for production or re-use
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, or verbal direction to complete tasks accurately
- Conduct basic quality inspections to ensure work meets company standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with material handling, staging, and inventory within the shop
- Support team members across production tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or shop environment preferred
- Hands-on experience with tools, equipment, and mechanical assembly
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, and repetitive work
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of safety procedures (OSHA familiarity a plus)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with refurbishment or repair work
- Familiarity with drilling, cutting, or light machining equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Experience with production documentation or work orders
