Job Full Description
The Leasing Agent is responsible for marketing available units, conducting property tours, screening applicants, and delivering an outstanding resident experience. The ideal candidate is energetic, professional, sales-oriented, and enjoys building relationships with prospective tenants.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to leasing inquiries via phone, email, text, and online platforms.
- Schedule and conduct property tours for prospective residents.
- Explain rental rates, lease terms, community amenities, and property policies.
- Process rental applications and assist with applicant screening.
- Prepare lease documents and coordinate move-ins.
- Maintain accurate records in property management software.
- Follow up with prospects to maximize occupancy.
- Assist with resident retention and lease renewals.
- Monitor local market conditions and competitor pricing.
- Ensure model units and common areas are well-presented.
Qualifications
- Previous leasing, sales, customer service, hospitality, or real estate experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up abilities.
- Comfortable using CRM and property management software.
- Ability to work some weekends as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- California real estate license is a plus but not required.
