Job Full Description
Job Summary:
- The Spooling Operator will conduct the operation of a spooling or re-spooling machine/process to
generate finished goods, including the handling, packaging and labeling.
- This person is responsible for abiding policies, procedures, work instructions and guidelines for
safety, quality and manufacturing.
- As such, this person will be expected to conduct and complete work assignments in the manner
prescribed and, in the timeframe, allotted.
- This person will also be expected to adhere to all general policies as it applies to an employee in
matters of attendance, job performance and general conduct.
Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate the spooling or re-spooling machine(s) as described in work instructions.
- Determine the correct material as identified by the work order for b2 or f2, sm12 or sm35.
- Position reel on payoff and set parameters on “auxiliary operation panel”.
- Place information into computer as per printout on reel or “main operation panel”.
- Place specified size spools per standard operating procedure on take-up racks.
- Maintain quality production by constantly observing machine operation.
- Print all labels both for spools and boxes.
- Select the proper bag and box size from the “package standard” standard operating procedure.
- Complete quality and production logs to document manufacturing operations.
2nd shift: 2:45pm-11:15pmm, $21.50/hour
3rd shift: 10:45pm-7:15am, $22/hour
