Job Full Description
Job Summary: The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical housings, subassemblies, and hardware components, often integrating electronic parts and cables into finished units. Work is performed in a fast-paced production environment using hand tools, microscopes, and detailed work instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to assemble components accurately.
- Assemble mechanical housings, subassemblies, and electro-mechanical products.
- Use hand tools and power tools (screwdrivers, torque drivers, cutters, pliers, etc.).
- Work under microscopes or magnification for precision assembly tasks.
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet engineering and quality standards.
- Integrate electronic assemblies, wiring, and components into mechanical systems.
- Follow ESD (electrostatic discharge) and cleanroom safety procedures.
- Document production steps and support continuous improvement processes.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of manufacturing or assembly experience (medical/device/electronics a plus).
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions.
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable working in a standing, fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to meet quality and production standards under supervision.
- Microscope or cleanroom assembly experience.
- IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 knowledge (or willingness to train).
- Experience in electronics, medical device, or precision manufacturing environments.
