Job Title: Receptionist/Administrative Assistant (Temporary)

Location: Downtown, San Jose, CA

Pay Range: $23/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

Job Type: Temporary, Contract Position

Job Description:

Our client, located in San Jose, is seeking a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to cover for vacation in May 2025. This is a temporary job opportunity in a legal office environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service by greeting visitors and answering phone calls.
  • Handle conference room schedules.
  • Greet and assist all visitors and staff with a professional welcome, exceeding service expectations.
  • Answer all incoming phone calls, following firm phone etiquette, ensuring professional communication.
  • Perform light clerical duties, including document preparation, maintaining files, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and cleanliness of the lobby area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of related business experience, with a strong preference for administrative and switchboard experience in a legal environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word and Excel).
  • Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a friendly demeanor.
