An established residential property management organization is seeking an experienced Senior Property Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and overall appearance of a multifamily community in San Jose. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional with strong skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and apartment turnovers. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining resident satisfaction, ensuring community safety, and preserving property standards while delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Perform preventive, emergency, cosmetic, and routine maintenance repairs for residential units and common areas.
- Complete electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and general maintenance tasks.
- Respond to resident service requests and work orders within established quality and service standards.
- Conduct property inspections and immediately report safety concerns or maintenance deficiencies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of grounds, common areas, parking lots, and building exteriors.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory levels to support ongoing maintenance operations.
Requirements

Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in multifamily housing, hospitality, or a related industry.

Strong knowledge of residential plumbing, electrical systems, appliance repair, painting, and drywall.

HVAC and carpentry experience preferred.

Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proficiency with smartphones, computers, and maintenance-related technology.

Ability to bend, lift, climb ladders, and safely operate hand and power tools.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Must provide and maintain their own tools required for day-to-day maintenance and repair activities.
