TOOL MAKER NEEDED CALL MARIA AT 661-775-2570
- Extensive knowledge of various types of machine/hand tools.
- Ability to support metalworking projects from planning and fabrication through assembly, using knowledge of machine functions and mathematics.
- Ability to fabricate fixtures, tooling, and experimental parts to meet special engineering needs.
- Uses precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to check parts to assure conformance to specification.
- Set up/operate metalworking, welding, & cutting equipment.
- Select the appropriate tools, materials, and machines to be used in the preparation of machinery work.
- Experience in hand crank lathes, drill presses, and mill experience.
- Work with engineering personnel to suggest re-design of parts or to clarify actual working requirements
- Fiberglass fabrication experience a plus.
- Cabinetmaker/Construction type work experience a plus.
- Good judgment skills with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with people on all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Other projects as duties as assigned.

- Has the authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to the product, process, and quality system, including but not limited to, the following:
- To identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
- To initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
- To verify the implementation of solutions and control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- AS9100 Awareness (Ethical Behavior; Product Safety; Quality Objectives; product or service conformity; Quality Management system requirements) and FOD Prevention Awareness.
- Two years Hands on Experience preferred
- Sufficient to perform Major Duties and Responsibilities related to the job function. Additional training may be provided as appropriate to the position, customer requirements and internal documentation
