A rapidly expanding business in the medical equipment industry is looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join their team in Temecula, CA. The company supplies hospitals and laboratories with medical and laboratory machines, service contracts for those machines, reagents, and consumables. About the Role

The Procurement Specialist will take ownership of supplier relationships, sourcing, and order management from start to finish. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with both vendors and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly. You will also have the chance to take on projects outside of traditional procurement, giving you valuable exposure to other areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement activities and build strong supplier relationships
  • Process and track orders from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Create accurate estimates and continuously analyze pricing
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive terms
  • Collaborate with customers and vendors to ensure smooth transactions
  • Update price sheets and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with administrative tasks that support company operations, providing an opportunity to learn more about the business beyond procurement

Qualifications

  • REQUIRED: Proven experience in procurement with 2+ years strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales support
  • QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise experience strongly preferred (other QuickBooks versions acceptable)
  • Intermediate to advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel: nested formulas, IFNA, VLOOKUP, PivotTables, external sheet referencing, conditional formatting
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook) and Google Workspace
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable with a long track record of consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Able to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and work authorization required
  • English fluency (Spanish would be a great bonus)
