EXPRESS EMPLOYMENT NORTH HOLLYWOOD IS RECRUITING FOR A FINANACIAL ANALYST FOR OUR CLIENT IN LOS ANGELES

PURPOSE: The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial and operational analyses and budgeting that support critical functions of the organization.
We are in need of a temporary Financial Analyst for approximately 2 to 4 months. The position would pay between 30.00 to 34.00/hr.
Monday thru Thursday – 8:30am to 5pm
Friday – 8:30am to 3:30pm
37.5 hours per week

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or related fields required
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Self-starter with ability to identify problems and establish solutions independently
• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
• Stellar Microsoft Excel skills required
• Minimum of one year experience in accounting, reporting, and/or financial analysis
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Excel and Word, and ability to work with accounting software
• Culturally sensitive and able to work with a multicultural client/customer population; ability to work in a non-judgmental manner and foster positive growth/outcomes; able to work as part of a team and maintain professional boundaries
• Must pass a criminal background check (Live Scan fingerprinting) prior to beginning employment

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Produce financial reports and analyses as needed, as well as perform other special duties and projects as directed by the Chief Financial Officer, Controller, and other senior management
• Work with and provide comprehensive financial reporting and analyses to senior management and program staff
• Provide variance analysis reporting, create financial system reporting solutions, propose corrective actions and adjustments as needed, track activities, and create forecasts
• Prepare financial analyses and reports as needed for the Board of Directors
• Engage in the budgeting process, and prepare contract proposals and renewals
• Provide all necessary support for programmatic, fiscal, and administrative audits
• Read and gain thorough understanding of and expertise in assigned programs, contracts and grants, as applicable
• Stay abreast of changes in grants and contracts and ensure changes are implemented in a timely manner, as applicable
• Take a holistic approach to managing the financial aspect of the organization’s programs
• Other duties as assigned
