Our client in North Hollywood is seeking a Warehouse Shipping Associate!
Job Summary:
Our client is hiring dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Shipping Associates to join our team
in North Hollywood! In this role, you’ll help ensure FedEx, UPS, and truck orders are packed
accurately and shipped safely to their destinations. You’ll work closely with supervisors and
teammates in a fast-paced warehouse environment while learning valuable shipping, inventory,
and equipment-handling skills.
This position includes structured training modules that support your success and growth,
including shipping basics, equipment operation, inventory preparation, and will-call processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare, pack, and load customer orders for shipment using FedEx, UPS, and truck carriers
Verify quantities, part numbers, and weights; complete shipment documentation
accurately.
- Create shipment labels, tracking information, and related paperwork
- Use warehouse equipment such as electric pallet jacks, stackers, scales, nail-gun, drill
and packing tools.
- Safely operate forklifts, stackers, and powered material-handling equipment (training
provided)
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory preparation as directed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow and promote safe work practices at all times
- Collaborate with your team to meet productivity, accuracy, and on-time shipping goals
- Contribute ideas for team and process improvements
- Rotate through and learn multiple warehouse functions
- Support will-call operations and communicate effectively with internal teams and
customers.
- Meet attendance, punctuality, and performance standards
- Be flexible to work overtime when business needs require
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years of Warehouse related
experience and/or training preferred
- Knowledge and ability to operate non-power material handling equipment with potential to
operate and become licensed on powered equipment after six months
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Willingness to learn new systems, equipment, and processes
- Must be able to work accurately and to follow written and verbal instructions and
communicate effectively with will call customers and customer service, as assigned
- Must be able to read numbers, write legibly, operate a computer, and use basic math
- Must have attention to detail and reliability
- Familiarity with warehouse retail scan gun is preferred
- Familiarity with Windows operating environment and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
preferred
- Additional knowledge of computers and software will be beneficial and is required for
advancement
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm (overtime as needed)
