Shipping Clerk

Full time - Temp to hire
Monday through Friday - 8am 5pm
$19hr to $22hr depending on experience.
A global corporation specializing in manufacturing, design and providing solutions for aerospace and defense electronic products and sub-systems is looking for a Shipping Clerk to join their team in Chatsworth.
Summary: Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods out of our warehouse, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in a distribution center environment and possess strong organizational skills to maintain inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products according to order specifications.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move goods safely.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipment schedules, and order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders and efficient warehouse operations.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a similar role within a distribution center is preferred.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse operations is essential.
- Basic math skills for accurate inventory management and record keeping.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
