Electrical Calibration Technician
Chatsworth, CA
Full time – Temp to hire
Monday thru Friday – 8am to 5pm
$30hr to $40hr depending on experience.
A technology-oriented calibration, repair, testing, and first article inspection facility for precision measurement test equipment focused on providing the highest-quality work product, timely execution, exceptional customer service is seeking an Electrical Calibration Technician to join their team in Chatsworth.
Summary: Have the ability to calibrate and repair a wide variety of electronic, test, diagnostic, and general purpose instruments, such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, frequency counters, and RF capability up to 26GHz. Knowledge of temperature is highly recommended. All calibration is to be performed in accordance with NIST traceable standards. Micro Quality Calibration is accredited by A2LA to ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, 9002, and ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006.
Responsibilities:
- Calibrate instruments (Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Hipot Tester, Accelerometers, etc.)
- Calibrate standards and generate reports.
- Inspect equipment and collaborate with engineers.
- Provide technical guidance during audits.
- Maintain safety and troubleshoot equipment.
Qualifications:
- Calibration experience required
- Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training preferred or 3 years of equivalent training is required.
- Experience working under ISO 9000 and/or ISO 17025 Quality Assurance preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Willing and capable to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
