General Shop Helper
Chatsworth, CA
Full time – Temp to hire
Night Shift - Monday thru Friday – 4:30pm to 1am
$18hr to start
A leader in the aircraft industry and world-wide supplier of OEM antennas, continually improving a complete line of antennas featuring many significant advances in aircraft communication and navigation is seeking a General Shop Helper to join their team in Chatsworth.
Summary: Seeking a motivated individual capable of working with minimal supervision. Someone familiar with the manufacturing environment and highly motivated. Applicants must be International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliant
Responsibility:
- Work in a manufacturing setting, sanding and working with fiberglass materials.
- Work with a variety of power tools.
- Report any assembly issues or delays to Lead and Supervisor.
- Cross train in various departments as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a Fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a huge advantage.
- Basic computer skills, Complete necessary computer transactions and paperwork proficiently.
- Able to work as part of a team, share ideas with team and Manufacturing Engineers as needed.
- Punctual and ready to work.
- Familiar with Sanding, grinder, paint, various chemicals, assembly tools.
- Follow all Safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean workstation.
- Able to lift 25 lbs.
- Be able to stand for extended periods including, standing, walking, sitting, lifting.
- Be able to work overtime with short notice or as needed.
