Project Assistant

Monday Through Friday – 11am to 7pm

A designer-founded and led company, focused intently on the ever-evolving intersection of digital and tangible brand experiences with primary focus on developing and producing innovative and creative specialty packaging and displays is looking for a Project Assistant to join their team in Van Nuys.
Summary: Project Assistant will assist production with all aspects of packaging projects, from concept through delivery. This role supports Senior Producers in managing project timelines, coordinating with internal creative teams and external vendors, and ensuring the smooth and timely execution of packaging deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the production workflow for a variety of packaging projects, ensuring all phases stay on schedule, able to switch gears in project flow, inventory, and shipping management ie: Shiprush, FedEx, UPS, USPS.
- Support the Producers in tracking and coordinating all necessary assets, such as product samples, creative files, and dielines, to meet production timeline, delivering assets, shipping labels, and pack-out in our assembly areas.
- Maintain project documentation, including production schedules, Inventory and product schedules, on Monday.com and client feedback emails.
- Ensure that all necessary project files are properly organized and filed on our data-share servers.
- Assist where needed and be able to lend a hand.
- Assist with quality control checks for client products, prototypes, and samples to ensure they meet brand standards and creative objectives for client approvals.
- Facilitate effective communication between office staff, producers, and operations teams to align on project requirements and status updates.
- Act as a proactive problem-solver, identifying potential issues or risks during production and escalating concerns to senior staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in a production or project management role within a print shop, creative agency, brand, or similar fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and collaborative approach.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Monday.com, Illustrator, Adobe and proficiency with Google Suite or Microsoft Office.)
- A positive, solutions-oriented attitude and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with print production processes and terminology is a plus, but not necessary.
