Facilities Assistant III
Northridge, CA
Full time – Temp to hire
Monday through Friday – 8am to 5pm
$30hr to $33hr depending on experience.
A company regarded by commercial, government, military, and scientific communities as one of the world’s pre-eminent suppliers of high-precision antenna positioning systems and components for a vast array of antenna, optical and sensor systems is seeking a Facilities Assistant III to join their team in Northridge.
Summary: The Facilities Assistant supports the cleanliness, safety, and basic maintenance of our buildings. This role combines custodial responsibilities with light maintenance and repair tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
- Empty trash and recycling and ensure proper disposal.
- Restock supplies. (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, cups, silverware, napkins, etc.)
- Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of facilities.
- Perform basic repairs.
- Replacing light bulbs and fixtures.
- Minor plumbing fixes. (e.g., unclogging toilets, tightening fixtures)
- Basic painting and touch-ups.
- Adjusting doors, handles, and hardware.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for repairs beyond scope.
Qualifications:
- Prior custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of tools and general repair work.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor facility issues independently.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
- Reliable and self-motivated.
