Job Full Description
- ROLE SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing dimensional, visual, and documentation-based
inspections throughout the manufacturing process. This role ensures incoming materials, inprocess components, and finished goods meet engineering specifications, customer requirements,
and AS9100/ITAR quality standards. The Quality Inspector supports root-cause analysis,
documentation accuracy, and continuous improvement across Titan Advanced Manufacturing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Incoming, In-Process & Final Inspection
Inspect and approve incoming materials through visual, dimensional, and documentation checks.
Conduct in-process inspections to verify conformance to specifications.
Provide thoughtful, solution-oriented feedback to operators.
Approve finished components by confirming specifications, conducting required measurement
tests, and verifying any rework.
Quarantine, tag, and process nonconforming materials or parts as required.
Documentation & Reporting
Record inspection results accurately within reports and ERP.
Create Nonconforming Product Reports (NCRs) as needed.
Maintain traceability records, inspection logs, and calibration documentation.
Root Cause & Quality Support
Assist in determining causes of defects, deviations, and rework.
Participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.
Collaborate with Production and Engineering to communicate issues and support resolution.
Measurement Equipment Care
Maintain measurement equipment by following operational instructions and calibration
requirements.
Use precision instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pins, CMM (if
applicable), and optical comparator.
Safety & Compliance
Maintain a safe and healthy inspection environment by following Titan safety standards and
AS9100/ITAR regulations.
Comply with all PPE, hazard controls, and quality system requirements.
Other Duties
Perform other quality-related tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma required; technical degree preferred
1–2 years experience in quality control or precision inspection
Aerospace, defense, or machining environment experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
Intermediate math skills including fractions, decimals, conversions, and tolerancing
Experience using measuring devices such as gauges, calipers, pins, micrometers, and comparators
Basic ERP and computer proficiency
Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regular exposure to machining noise, coolant, water, metals, adhesives, and industrial equipment
in a warehouse environment
Standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs with reasonable accommodation
Exposure to chemical and production smells (adhesives, lubricants, and rubber hose materials)
typical of a hydraulic fabrication area
Use of PPE for frequent handling of parts and materials with sharp edges or heavy components
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate safely around industrial equipment
Must comply with all facility safety protocols and ITAR-access restrictions
