Our client builds precise wood-based wall and truss components for multi-family structures, using state-of-the-art equipment and a unique approach to commercial framing with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
We are seeking a Safety & Quality Coordinator to help improve workplace safety and ensure quality standards are consistently met. This role involves conducting safety assessments, improving compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols, educating employees, and supporting Workers Comp processes when necessary. The Coordinator will also perform weekly and random quality inspections in both the Wall Panel and Truss shops while working closely with employees and managers to maintain high safety and quality standards.
This is a hands-on position, requiring time both in the office and on the production floor, with some outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver weekly safety trainings (toolbox talks) and maintain attendance records.
- Review safety policies and protocols with new hires.
- Ensure employees follow safety protocols and use required PPE.
- Assist in documenting and reporting workplace injuries and facilitate clinic visits if needed.
- Conduct property and shop safety walks; report issues using the Safety Compliance Checklist.
- Perform monthly fire extinguisher inspections and coordinate annual inspections for fire suppression systems.
- Oversee daily forklift and truck driver inspections; escalate issues as needed.
- Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets.
- Collaborate with third-party safety consultants.
- Conduct weekly and random quality control checks in Wall Panel and Truss shops.
- Support supervisors and managers in correcting unsafe behaviors and hazards.
- Act as an advocate for both the company and employees regarding safety and quality.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, sit, or stand for extended periods.
- Capable of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- May occasionally work in areas with increased hazards such as noise, dust, or extreme temperatures.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 10-hour OSHA training required.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
