Express Employment Professionals of Centennial and Castle Rock is hiring a Quality Control Manager for a software company in Colorado Springs. The ideal candidate will have experience with UL certifications, electronics manufacturing standards and love leading teams to success.
Job Highlights:
- Perform thorough quality inspections on printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronic assemblies, and precision sheet-metal components.
- Maintain and update all quality documentation, including control plans, work instructions, specifications, and compliance records.
- Lead investigations into product and process non-conformances, conducting root-cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor, analyze, and report key quality performance indicators such as yield, defect rates, and customer return trends.
- Mentor, motivate, and develop the QA team while fostering a culture centered on continuous improvement and accountability.
- Oversee and strengthen the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring adherence to ISO 9001, UL standards, and customer-specific requirements.
- Manage UL certification efforts (e.g., UL 94, UL 508A) for components, assemblies, and finished products.
- Prepare for, support, and lead internal and external audits—including ISO, UL, and customer audits—to maintain ongoing compliance and audit readiness.
What we look for:
- PCB and PCBA manufacturing experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management or a related technical field preferred, but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of QA/QC experience in electronics/PCBA manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards.
- Proven hands-on experience managing UL certifications.
- Extensive knowledge of IPC standards (such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-600) and familiarity with RoHS compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience performing root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to inspect precision sheet-metal parts and assemblies using detailed drawings and CAD files.
- Understanding of DMT/DFR processes and experience handling RMA activities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root-cause investigations and present data-supported conclusions.
