About the Opportunity:
A well-established manufacturing company in the Denver Metro area is seeking a Buyer to support procurement operations and ensure materials and supplies are available to meet production demands. This role plays a critical part in supplier management, cost control, and overall operational efficiency.
Job Highlights:
- Manage purchasing of raw materials, components, and services for manufacturing operations
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers
- Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability
- Analyze pricing, financial data, and inventory needs to drive cost savings
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, inventory levels, and supplier performance
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contracts, and applicable regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams to support production schedules and material planning
What We Look For:
- 2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Experience working with ERP systems (IFS a plus) and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials
- Knowledge of machining operations, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Understanding of inventory management concepts (safety stock, carrying costs, obsolescence)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
