Position: Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst II | Contract-To-Hire

Schedule: Hybrid Schedule

About the Position: Specialized Recruiting Group is partnering with a rapidly growing, tech-enabled service company that operates nationwide. They’re seeking a detail-oriented and deadline-driven Accounts Payable Analyst II to join their team and support critical financial operations. This role is contract-to-hire and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with complex invoice processing, vendor management, and account reconciliation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process a high volume of vendor invoices daily, ensuring proper coding, documentation, and approvals
  • Assist with purchase order matching and identify any discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders or receipts
  • Partner with procurement and vendors to resolve invoice errors, discrepancies, or missing documentation
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of vendor statements and follow up on outstanding credits or invoices
  • Maintain electronic filing systems for AP documentation and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Support the AP inbox by responding to inquiries and providing timely resolution
  • Educate vendors on electronic invoicing and payment options to streamline the AP process
  • Assist with various reporting functions, audits, and month-end close activities

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in full-cycle accounts payable or related accounting functions
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and AP best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, basic formulas) and familiar with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar)
  • High-volume data entry experience with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external vendors
  • Comfortable working in a high-growth environment with evolving processes and priorities
  • Familiarity with vendor setup/maintenance and 1099 reporting is a plus
