An established private construction company in Winter Park, CO, is seeking skilled diesel field mechanics with a background in construction equipment maintenance for a full-time, year round position. They specialize in heavy civil site work in warm seasons and snow work in the winter months and are offering relocation expense assistance.
What You'll Do: As a Diesel Field Mechanic you will:
- Work at Elevation: Perform your role in beautiful Winter Park, CO. Job sites are at elevation and can have variable weather and site conditions.
- Outdoor & Indoor Work: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment as well as use diagnostic tools & technology to identify faults with electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems, moving between the company shop and the job site as needed
- Fabrication: Fabrication experience is preferred to weld and replace structural and mechanical components as needed.
- Team Coordination: Work with a great team to collaboratively achieve goals and deadlines
- Emergency Response: Respond to equipment failures at the job site promptly when they occur
What We’re Looking For:
- Knowledge: Has a strong working knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, diesel/gasoline engines, and modern diagnostic technology
- Safety: Possesses a strong attention to safety and following all company and industry safety standards & procedures (including wearing company-provided PPE)
- Reliability & Responsiveness: Promptly respond to mechanical breakdowns at the job site to ensure fast resolutions
- Availability: 40 hours/week, Overtime opportunities
- Schedule is mostly consistent Monday–Friday, 7:00AM–5:00PM during warm months. Variable hours occur more frequently during winter months to address snow work
- Experience: Technical/vocational training in diesel mechanics is preferred. Seeking 2+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment (preferably in construction). Valid Driver License and clear driving record are required
