Job Full Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations while supporting an organized and well-stocked retail storefront. This role is responsible for managing inventory, organizing shelving systems, maintaining clear item numbering and SKU tracking, and ensuring efficient restocking processes. The ideal candidate will have strong warehouse leadership experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate inventory flow between warehouse storage and the retail sales floor.

This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring products are easily located, stocked, and replenished for both warehouse fulfillment and in-store customer purchases.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead warehouse associates to ensure efficient daily operations and a productive work environment.
  • Organize warehouse shelving and storage systems using clear SKU/item numbers and location labeling for easy product identification and restocking.
  • Coordinate incoming shipments, verify inventory, and ensure products are properly labeled and placed in designated warehouse locations.
  • Manage inventory flow between warehouse storage and the retail storefront, ensuring shelves remain fully stocked and organized.
  • Establish and maintain restocking procedures to keep high-demand items readily available for customers.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accurate stock levels and reduce discrepancies.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely for material handling and product movement.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, manage item numbers, and monitor stock movement.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and retail stockroom environment.
  • Train new team members on inventory organization, stocking procedures, and warehouse best practices.
  • Collaborate with retail staff and management to ensure smooth coordination between warehouse operations and in-store sales.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements that increase efficiency in inventory organization, picking, and restocking.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a warehouse, distribution, or retail warehouse environment (experience with storefront inventory support preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory organization, SKU systems, and warehouse shelving practices.
  • Experience supervising warehouse staff or leading operational teams.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory tracking software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate between warehouse and retail teams.

  • Experience organizing warehouse layouts for efficient picking and restocking
  • Background in retail inventory management
  • Experience implementing process improvements or workflow optimization
