Maintenance Technician
Summary
Performs general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance for residential properties and grounds. Works independently and as part of a team to maintain safe, clean, and functional living environments while providing excellent customer service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, doors, windows, and locks.
- Complete work orders efficiently and professionally.
- Inspect buildings, apartments, common areas, and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
- Prepare vacant units for new occupancy.
- Assist with HVAC system maintenance and repairs.
- Repair and maintain household appliances and building equipment.
- Maintain tools, equipment, storage areas, and workspaces.
- Perform grounds maintenance, trash removal, snow removal, and ice mitigation.
- Operate company vehicles to transport supplies and materials.
- Participate in emergency on-call maintenance as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience in residential, apartment, or building maintenance.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
- Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical labor.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
