Job description:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in operating CNC machinery, including CNC lathes and milling machines. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to read blueprints and technical documents. The CNC Machinist will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components for various applications.

Duties

  • Operate CNC lathes and milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
  • Program CNC machines using CAM programming software and ensure adherence to GD&T standards.
  • Utilize SolidWorks and CAD software for designing parts and creating machining programs.
  • Perform setup and calibration of machines, including the installation of tooling and fixtures.
  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve manufacturing processes through lean manufacturing principles.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with a strong understanding of machining processes.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming, including familiarity with Fanuc controls.
  • Knowledge of electrical discharge machining is a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in assembly, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
  • Experience with plastics injection molding is advantageous.
