Job Full Description
A deburrer, also known as a deburring technician or deburring machine operator, smooths and finishes manufactured parts. They remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Removing defects and smoothing uneven surfaces
- Cleaning and organizing work area
- Inspecting parts for quality
- Operating specialized machinery
- Maintaining equipment
- Using hand tools, power tools, and machines to grind, file, or sand surfaces
- Utilize microscope most of the day
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with machine shop tools
- Ability to learn and apply new knowledge
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Working environment
- Typically works in the field of manufacturing as a piece of the post-production team
