Job Full Description
Summary: Responsible for setting up machines by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Sets up machines according to assigned job using hand tools such as wrenches, socket sets and allen wrenches.
2. Complies with company policies and procedures, including all safety procedures, policies and regulations.
3. Cleans work area prior to start-up of each job.
4. Cleans and lubricates machines.
5. Reads and records job production information
6. Familiar with micrometer usage, TMM and dial indicators.
7. Reads and follows blueprints to meet specifications, customer requirements.
8. Follows procedures and information on routing sheet for each specific job.
9. Pull and load die-sets to and from press, according to specifications.
10. Strip, clean die-sets and recognize special hardware.
11. Prepare specific powder mix for the job and add to the hopper
12. Assures material meets correct specifications of each job as stated on routing sheet.
13. Setup flat and pullout tools into die-set and press utilizing Dorst and ASI setup procedures
14. Notifies management as problems occur during job process
15. Completion of setup paperwork, including a density calculation.
16. Inspects first pieces for quality assurance.
17. Make size/weight adjustments to jobs in presses that are running.
18. Performs other related duties as assigned.
