Job Full Description
Temporary Project but may become long term for the ideal candidate.
Mechanical Production Technician is responsible for assembling, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing mechanical components, equipments and systems for rail cars and related equipment.
• Assemble mechanical systems and sub systems based on schematics, blueprints, and work instructions
• Perform mechanical repairs, component replacements, and alignments on equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults using mechanical testing equipment.
• Follow preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Document work performed in maintenance logs and reports.
• Work closely with engineering and quality teams to improve product reliability and serviceability.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, complying with all safety regulations.
• Basic knowledge about breakers, electrical valves, power supply to assist with Electrical Production
• Basic automotive electrical system knowledge (battery system connections, DC fuse panel, ignition signals)
•Proven experience in a production environment.
•Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and techniques.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The employee will predominantly work indoors in the main production facility. From time to time will have to assist in the movement of vehicles within the lot area which requires outside work. Work may be performed at railroad sites and shops. Weather conditions may fluctuate.
This position is being offered at $23-25/hour BOE based on experience.
