Job Full Description
We are currently seeking CDL B drivers for a client in the Manchester CT area. Local driving only.
Location: Manchester
Rate: $25/hour based on experience.
CDL B Driver Responsibilities:
· Perform safety checks of brakes, steering column, lights and mirrors prior to each leg of journey to ensure road readiness
· Box truck, Box Van and Flat Bed Truck experience is a plus
· Forklift experience required
· Follow and maintain loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo and re-checking their stability throughout trips
· Inspect trucks before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary.
· Contribute to company data by honestly recording times of delivery and hours worked
· Adhere to traffic safety regulations at all times, exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors in a timely manner
CDL Driver Requirements:
- Current CDL B license
- Experience operating similar vehicles for work purposes.
- Comfortable using GPS equipment and barcode readers.
- Clean MVR and current DOT medical card
- Background and drug screening conducted
