Shipping Crate Builder
The Shipping Crate Builder is responsible for constructing custom wooden crates and packaging solutions to protect products during domestic and international shipping. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to read cut-sheets to cut and assemble wood products accurately. If you have experience with a variety of hand tools and are mechanically inclined, this could be the next step in your career!
Pay: Starting at $20/hr
Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, OT after 40 hrs.
Key Responsibilities
- Build custom wooden crates, boxes, and pallets according to drawings, specifications, or verbal instructions
- Help load/unload trucks and shipping containers
- Experience with miter saws, table saws, nail guns, drill press and pallet jacks.
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to understand & follow English written and verbal instructions
- Ability to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs without assistance
- Demonstrate basic math skills, including measuring and the use of decimals and fractions
- Basic carpentry skills
